General Authority for Forests Management: An increase of 7 thousand hectares to the wheat cultivation plan next season

Hama, (ST) -The General Authority for Forests Management in Hama Governorate has allocated an area of 60,000 hectares for cultivation with wheat during the next agricultural season in the lands under its supervision.

Engineer Awfa Wassouf, Director General of the Authority said to SANA’s correspondent that the wheat cultivation area scheduled for the next season is about seven thousand hectares greater than last season’s plan, which amounted to 53 thousand hectares and was fully implemented.

He indicated that the wheat cultivation areas are distributed in Al-Suqaylabiyah, Shatha, Ain Al-Krum, Jeb Ramla, and Mharda.

Wassouf pointed out that all necessary facilities will be provided to farmers to ensure the optimal implementation of the agricultural plan. He added that the new mechanism for distributing fuel to farmers according to the electronic card will soon be implemented, ensuring that the material is delivered to those who deserve it.
