Gen. Ayoub offers the medal granted by President al-Assad to Gen. Soleimani to his Iranian counterpart

Tehran (ST): Defense Minister Gen. Ali Ayyub presented to Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, the Order of the Hero of the Syrian Arab Republic which was awarded by President Bashar al-Assad to Martyr Lt. General Qassem Soleimani.

During his meeting with Hatami, Gen. Ayoub praised the great sacrifices Soleimani offered in support of the Syrian people in their battle against terrorism, noting that his name will be immortal in history.

In turn, Hatami extended deep thanks for the sympathy shown by Syrian government and people for the martyrdom of Suleimani, stressing that the path of resistance would continue unabated.

He added that thanks to the sacrifices of the Resistance Front, including the Syrian armed forces, the terrorist Daesh organization was defeated.

Hatami concluded renewing his country’s support for the reconstruction process in Syria.
