GCC supports Syria’s efforts to preserve security and stability of the Syrian people

JEDDAH, Mar.8, (ST)-Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammad Al-Badawi, affirmed the council’s support for Syria in all efforts and measures it takes to preserve the security and stability of the Syrian people.

According to the GCC website, Al-Badawi stressed what was stated in the final statement issued by the Ministerial Council in its (163) session, condemning all acts of violence that aim at destabilizing Syria.

He reiterated the GCC’s rejection of violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of their motives and reasons.

Al-Badawi expressed his hope that security, stability and prosperity would prevail in the Syrian Arab Republic under the rule of law and justice, and that the hopes of the Syrian people would be fulfilled for a brighter and more prosperous future.
