Russian gas producer Gazprom’s natural gas flows through the TurkStream pipeline will be interrupted from June 21 to June 28 due to the annual schedule maintenance of the pipeline.
“The interruption of gas supplies through the TurkStream pipeline had been agreed upon by all parties in advance,” Tass news agency reported citing the company, pointing out that Russian gas supplies to Turkey will continue through the (Blue Stream) pipeline, which has underwent maintenance last May.
The (Blue Stream) pipeline began operating in 2003 with a pass-through capacity of 16 billion cubic meters per year, while, the (TurkStream) includes two gas pipelines, one goes to Turkey and the second to southern Europe, with a total capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters per year. TurkStream began operating in December 2020.
