Palestinians on Friday participated in the 43rd week of The Great Marches of Return along the border between Gaza and the occupied territories.
The protest this week was under the banner: “Unity, Our Way to Victory,” according to the Supreme Committee of the Great March of Return which called in a statement for wide participation in the peaceful rallies.
Meanwhile, the committee in its statement called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in calling to lift the siege on Gaza strip.
More than nine months have passed since the start of the massive wave of protests known as the Great March of Return (started on March 30, Palestinian Land Day).
The Great March of Return protests call for the right of return of Palestinian refugees, a right enshrined in international law, and the end of the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip by the Zionist entity and Egypt for over a decade, which has caused suffering to the Palestinians living there.
Occupation authorities demolish house of Palestinian prisoner
On the other hand, Israeli occupation authorities demolished the house of a Palestinian prisoner Khalil Youssef al-Jabarin south of Al-Khalil (Herbron).
IOF early at dawn on Friday stormed the area where the Jabarin house is located in Yatta town and closed the roads leading to the house, Palestinian sources said.
The occupation forces forced the family of the Palestinian prisoner, which consists of 12 members to get out of the house in the cold weather, the sources added.
The IOF then started to demolish the house by partial detonation of the second floor, according to local sources.
Prisoner Khalil Jabarin, 16, has been held by occupation authorities for four months. IOF claims that he had killed an occupation soldier at an Israeli checkpoint north of Al-Khalil
