Gaza Media Office warns of humanitarian catastrophe as occupation continues to close crossings

The Gaza Media Office again warned against the escalation of the humanitarian catastrophe and the increasing outbreak of famine in the  stricken Gaza Strip due to the continued closure of crossings by the Israeli occupation, especially the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings for the entry of aid and fuel.

The office confirmed in a statement today that the occupation continues to close all crossings and ports leading to the Gaza Strip for 24 days with the full support of the US administration, threatening the already “catastrophic and fragile humanitarian situation in the Strip” due to the aggravation of famine and humanitarian crises, especially the medicine crisis due to the ongoing 238-day war of genocide.

The office pointed out that the sector is experiencing complex humanitarian crises, represented by the systematic destruction of residential neighborhoods, infrastructure, water, sewage and electricity networks, all sectors and walks of life, starvation and thirst, preventing the entry of aid, humanitarian, medical and relief needs, as well as preventing fuel and cooking gas, which also led to the suspension of more than 98 percent of bakeries, while more than 700 water wells were out of operation due to their repeated targeting . In addition, the occupation prevents the sick and wounded from traveling, which constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity that require the accountability of criminals and the imposition of penalties on them immediately.

The office called on the International Criminal Court and all other international courts and all free judges in the world to prosecute the Israeli war criminals who killed more than 36 thousand people in an unprecedented historical Holocaust, and bring them to a fair court and hold them accountable for these massacres, which are condemned by all humanity.
