Gaza Media Office warns of a catastrophe if the Israeli occupation invades Rafah

The media office in Gaza has warned of a disaster if the Israeli occupation invades the city of Rafah, south of Gaza Strip, holding the American Administration and the international community fully responsible for this disaster which will lead to tens of thousands of casualties.

“We hold the American administration and the international community fully responsible for the catastrophe and massacre that the occupation is threatening to commit and that may occur at any time in conjunction with the crimes it continues to perpetrate in the governorates of Gaza Strip within the framework of the occupation’s genocidal war that started last October.

It called on the UN Security Council to convene immediately as to adopt a resolution that would oblige the occupation to stop the genocide it is committing against civilians, children and women in Gaza Strip, and put an end to occupation’s continuous threats against the city of Rafah and other areas.

More than 1.5 million displaced Palestinians are living in Rafah. An Israeli aggression on the city will lead to a catastrophe and a massacre that could leave tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded persons.
