Gaza Media Office: The occupation bombed Gaza Strip with more than 45,000 missiles and bombs

The media office in the Gaza Strip reported that the Israeli occupation has bombed the Strip since the beginning of its aggression against it on the seventh of last October, with more than 45,000 missiles and bombs weighing more than 65,000 tons of explosives, calling on the international community to stop the genocidal war waged by the occupation.

“The occupation aircraft dropped more than 45,000 missiles and giant bombs on Gaza Strip during the genocidal war, some of which weighed 2,000 pounds of explosives. The occupation deliberately dropped them on entire residential squares, which led to the death of hundreds of martyrs in a single bombing,” the office said in a statement

The office added: “The weight of the explosives dropped by the occupation aircraft on Gaza Strip amounted to more than 65,000 tons of explosives, which is more than the weight and power of three nuclear bombs such as those dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The statement indicated that nearly two-thirds of the bombs and missiles dropped by the occupation aircraft are unguided bombs.” They are inaccurate, or what is called “stupid bombs,” which indicates the occupation’s intention to carry out indiscriminate killing, which is a clear violation of international law and international agreements.”

The office indicated that the occupation used internationally prohibited weapons against the people of the Gaza Strip, most notably the BLU-113 bunker-busting bombs, the BLU-109 bunker-busting bombs, the SDBS bombs, and the American GBU-28 bombs. “Halper” missiles and GPS-guided bombs with the aim of destroying infrastructure, in addition to internationally banned white phosphorus bombs, unguided bombs, and JDEM smart bombs.

The office said that these internationally prohibited weapons used by the occupation lead to mass killing and injury, causing the largest possible number of victims within a few seconds, as happened in the areas of Northern Sands, Jabalia, Shujaiya, and Bureij, where hundreds of martyrs were martyred at once, in addition to causing permanent damage to the victims. Such as deformities, permanent disabilities, and amputations, and this is evident among the victims and the injured specifically in all hospitals, in addition to significant environmental pollution through the release of toxic radiation.
