Gaza Information Office: A disaster threatens the lives of 700,000 Palestinians due to the cessation of health services in Gaza City

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The information office in Gaza Strip warned of the cessation of health services in Gaza City and its north, which portends an imminent humanitarian catastrophe that threatens the lives of 700,000 Palestinians as a result of the continuation of the genocidal war that the Israeli occupation has been committing in the afflicted Strip for 229 days.

The office clarified in a statement today that the occupation continues to destroy all aspects of life for the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, especially with regard to treatment and medicine, as it systematically targets the health sector, its staff and hospitals to completely remove health institutions from service, which constitutes crimes against humanity.

The office affirmed that Gaza City and its north were completely out of health service and were no longer able to even provide secondary medical services, following the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia being out of service, and the siege of Al Awda Hospital in Jabalia Camp for the fourth day, in addition to stopping primary health care, maternity and childhood services, and child vaccination.

The office stressed that Gaza City and its north need urgent support from field hospitals and the entry of medical delegations, medicines and fuel to ensure the provision of the minimum amount of medical service and health care, as failure to fulfill these supplies and necessities threatens the lives of 700,000 Palestinians there.

The office called on the international community and international and international organizations to intervene urgently, protect the health sector and its cadres, and enable the medic crew to continue their humanitarian work instead of being targeted, killed, pursued, and arrested by the fascist occupation.
