Gargash: Al-Miqdad’s visit to Cairo is another positive step towards Syria’s return to its Arab environment

Abu Dhabi  (ST): Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Faisal Al-Miqdad to Cairo, describing it as another positive step towards Syria’s return to its Arab environment.

Gargash said on his Twitter account yesterday: “The visit of the Syrian Foreign Minister to Egypt is another positive step towards the return of  Syria to its Arab environment, and overcoming the repercussions of chaos.”

Gargash added, “The consolidation of the Arab dimension is strengthened with every step, and the UAE is in the depth of this good agreement.”

Yesterday, Al-Miqdad held a session of closed bilateral talks with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry followed by an expanded session of talks that included the two delegations, during which they reviewed various aspects of cooperation, and ways to enhance relations and coordination on various Arab and international issues of common concern.
