Future Projects Aim at Serving the National Economy

DAMASCUS, (ST) – President of the Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF) Mohammed al -Sawah confirmed that the SEF has prospective projects designed to serve the national economy and works to redouble efforts to increase the volume of exports and stimulates on holding exhibitions this year, stressing that the SEF is present all over Syria and to export the surplus of products of various kinds without any obstacles.

“The SEF worked in coordination with the concerned authorities in the public and private sectors during the last period to activate the export process,” pointing out that the Syrian industry has maintained its position and continued in exporting goods to all around the world in new accessible ways by sea and air,”  Mr. al –Sawah said in a press statement.

He stressed the need to work to curb the smuggling because it damages the Syrian economy and to stop the import within a specific program to preserve national industry, pointing out that the SEF has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Damascus Chamber of Industry to work to serve the industrialists and provide them with facilities to export their products.

The Chairman of the SEF indicated to the importance of exhibitions held abroad because it is an important window for the national economy inside and outside Syria, saying that the increase in the pace of exhibitions sponsored by the SEF is an evidence of the high level of work and production in Syria despite the difficult circumstances.
