Funeral ceremony for martyr Samir Kuntar held in Beirut, Ambassador Abdelkarim offers condolences

Beirut – The Funeral ceremony commenced on Monday in Beirut for martyr Samir Kuntar, the longest serving Arab prisoner in Israeli jails who was martyred on Saturday in a terrorist rocket attack in Jaramana, Damascus Countryside.

During the ceremony, head of the executive council in Hezbollah Hashem Safieddin said that Kuntar is the martyr of the entire Lebanese, Palestinian, and Arab resistance, and that his virtues and qualities sum the fact that resistance has one way that leads to Palestine and al-Quds, a road in which all sacrifices made for over 60 years converge.

Earlier on Monday, Syrian Ambassador in Lebanon Ali Abdelkarim, upon the instructions of President Bashar al-Assad, offered condolences to the family of Kuntar and Hezbollah, SANA reported.

Abdelkarim said that the martyrdom of Kuntar will open the door to victory and will show future generations the path to dignity, sovereignty, and the sanctity of land, asserting that Kuntar will live on in the hearts of the resistance and the entire nation.
