Frontex: Thousands of Immigrants Obtained Forged Syrian Nationality to Easily Get Asylum in Europe

VIENNA, (ST)-Frontex, the European Border Agency, has revealed that thousands of immigrants coming to Europe have obtained forged Syrian nationality in order to easily get asylum right.

The Austrian “Kronen Zeitung” newspaper cited the agency as saying in a report that “more than 15% of the refugees who entered Europe across Greece had claimed that they were Syrians or showed their fake passports which say that they are non-Syrians who carry the Syrian nationality.”

The agency clarified that the refugees’ behavior aimed at helping them get the asylum right without investigations or obstacles.

According to the report, the process of forging Syrian passports continued in 2016. Thousands of passports were forged in Turkey and Bulgaria by black market gangs. In addition, fake Syrian documents falsely proving the Syrian nationality of the refugees were issued to be presented to the European authorities with the purpose of accelerating asylum measures.

The Austrian daily pointed out that the German “Die Welt” Newspaper also reported that hundreds of immigrants have had their lies uncovered and were proved to be Iraqis and Palestinians.

Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, has stressed that the Europeans’ fears are caused not by refugees coming from Syria or Iraq, but by the growing number of immigrants coming from Libya and the African continent in general.

Western countries are greatly responsible for creating wars and chaos in the world because of their wrong policies. Their support for terrorist organizations in Syria and the unjust sanctions they imposed on the Syrian people have led a large number of Syrians to leave their homeland in search for “better life” in the West.
