French researcher and historian: Erdogan’s dream of leading the Middle East has failed

Prague,(ST)-The director of the Institute of Turkish Studies at the University of Strasbourg, french, researcher and historian Samim Akgünül, confirmed that the dream of the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to lead the Middle East, relying on the arrival of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to power in Arab countries has failed miserably.

In an interview with the Czech magazine Respect, Akgünül indicated that the head of the Turkish regime has resorted to using terrorists and extremists in the Middle East as tools and mercenaries to serve its plans in Libya, Syria, and recently in Azerbaijan.

Akgünül pointed out that Erdogan’s failure in the Arab region made him gamble now on achieving his dream in Europe by exploiting young people who feel abandoned by their societies, explaining that this poses a danger to Europe.
