French People Against Attacking Syria- Pierre Laurent
BEIRUT,(ST)_ Secretary -General of the French Communist Party Pierre Laurent has stressed that France participation in any likely aggression on Syria, as happened in Libya and Mali , is rejected by the French people and a large section of the French political forces ,pointing out that most of the US and Europe attention lies in maintaining Israel ‘s security.
During a meeting in Beirut yesterday with the Secretary – General of the Lebanese Communist Party Khaled Hadadeh ,Laurent considered that the project sponsored by the French government on Syria as a biased call to extend the crisis .
Hadadeh, for his part, linked between this aggression and the new Israeli – US plan , proposed by the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause and accelerate the decision of transferring the Israeli entity to the Jews state in the world.
Meantime, President of the ” Say and Do” society in Lebanon, Sheikh Ahmad Al – Qattan said that the western U.S. aggression on Syria aimed at undermining Syria’s role in supporting national resistance and rejection of the occupation .
Qattan said during a seminar at the headquarters of the society that the U.S. attack on Syria is a conspiracy against it because it stood with Lebanon in the 2006 war and its support for resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine.
Singh : India does not endorse any foreign interference in Syria
For his part, Chairman of the Indian National Banther Party, and Chairman of the Indian- Arab solidarity Council Bhim Singh stressed that his country does not support any foreign interference in the internal affairs of Syria.
Singh added that India ‘s people and Government defend peace all over the world , and the sovereignty and independence of all nations , pointing out that U.S. President Barack Obama is currently in a bitter stage while procrastinating to postpone his plan to launch an attack on Syria, and that Obama did not want to change his plan , but internal and external pressures forced him to retreat his positions , especially after the Russian position in rejecting any aggression on Syria .
He continued that the decisions taken by the leaders of the Arab League , which called on ” Anglo-American ” bloc to invade Syria had not come up with any results nor consequences .
Singh said that the British House of Commons gave a clear message to that Britain had learned enough from Iraq and Libya and that the whole of Europe, including Britain, is aware that not benefits resulted from the alleged Anglo-American ” victories , around the world.
However, the third preparatory meeting of the 18th International Festival for Youth and Students , which launched its deliberations in New Delhi , last Tuesday , expressed strong solidarity with Syria against the U.S. threat to launch aggression against it.
Participants in the meeting condemned the ” imperialist intervention ” in Syria manifested in escalating financial ,political ,and military support for the armed terrorist groups at a time when United States and its allies invoked the use of chemical weapons to launch an aggression against Syria , legitimizing themselves to invade sovereign peoples .
