Freedom won’t be realized through killing others,says Mufti

LATTAKIA, ٍإ LATTAKIA(ST)-Syria’s Grand Mufti, Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun has called on the Syrian people to adhere to national unity and cohesion to combat the Takfiri methodology .

“The Syrian people are paying the price of their rejection of a plot to divide their country and shift it to a new Somalia or Benghazi where the brother kills his brother.. Each mosque and church has big responsibility to bury the seditions,” the Mufti said during a meeting with a number of scholars and clergymen in Lattakia.

Hassoun addressed  religious institutions ,based in Syria, to convince  those who were misled to quit violence ..

Later, the Mufti honored 52 families of the martyrs in Lattakia, underlying  that the Syrians throughout history were not intimidated by occupiers as they didn’t allow anyone to desecrate their land.

“Freedom won’t be realized through killing others, but through keeping the homeland, dignity,” the Mufti said, calling the bearers of weapons to return to the right path.
