France calls on NATO to take into account the Russian position to achieve stability in Europe

Paris  (ST): France’s delegate to NATO, Muriel Dominac, called for Russia’s position to be taken into account in order to achieve sustainable stability in Europe.

Dominac was quoted as saying by Novosti agency during a security conference held via the Internet today: “In the long term, we must not forget that Russia will remain our closest neighbor geographically,” adding that this matter must be taken into account if we want to create conditions for long-term stability in the European continent.

The French delegate’s words came during a discussion of Ukraine’s possible membership in NATO in the future.
