Four Palestinian detainees remain on hunger strike in protest against the occupation’s criminal practices

Four Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails continued today their open-ended hunger strike in protest against their detention without charge or trial.

Kayed al-Fasfous, 34, and Sultan Khlouf, 42, have been on hunger strike for 31 days, while Iyad Baraqa, 24, has been on hunger strike for 24 days, and Maher al-Akhras for 11 days.

Last month, the PLO Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs urged the international community to break its silence over the Israeli crime of administrative detention, under which Palestinians are imprisoned without charge or trial in violation of all international laws and norms.

It is to be noted that the number of individual hunger strikes staged in rejection of the occupation crimes have reached 440 since 2011.
