Four Palestinian detainees continue their hunger strike

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Four Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation jails continue their hunger strike in rejection of the occupation’s continuing violations against the detainees.

Wafa News Agency on Wednesday quoted the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club as saying in a statement that the prisoners Kayed Al-Fasfous and Sultan Khalouf continue their strike for the twenty-eighth day, Abdel Rahman Baraqa for the twenty-first day, and Maher Al-Akhras for the eighth day.

The club indicated that the occupation authorities are continuing their repressive measures against the hunger strikers, detaining them in harsh conditions, and putting psychological and physical pressure on them in an attempt to dissuade them from continuing their strike. It indicated that the health conditions of the hunger strikers are worsening with the passage of time, especially since Al-Fasfus, Khalouf, and Al-Akhras had previously gone through long strikes that had negatively affected their health.

It is noteworthy that since 2011, the number of individual hunger strikes by Palestinian prisoners has exceeded 440 in rejection of the crimes of the occupation.
