Four new medals for Syria in the Arab Wrestling Championship

Riyadh (ST): Our national wrestling team continued its good performance and results on the second day of the Arab Championship for Free-style and Greco-Roman wrestlers for juniors and youth held in Saudi Arabia.

Ali Derki won the gold medal in the 65kg weight category, Ali Nshiwati the silver medal in the 125kg category, Anwar Sharfati silver in the 93kg weight category, and Ahmed Obaid the bronze medal in the 77kg weight category.

 With these results, our team obtained 8 medals during the first and second days, 2 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze, to get third place in the overall ranking of the youth category among the 12 participating teams in the tournament.

It is noteworthy that the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions for the junior category will be held today, while the Free-style wrestling competitions for this category will be held tomorrow.
