Four Katyusha rockets target the US embassy in central Baghdad
Baghdad, ST- Four Katyusha rockets targeted the US embassy inside the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
An Iraqi security source told SANA correspondent in Baghdad that “three rockets landed inside the embassy complex, targeting a restaurant and a sports club, while the fourth landed in its vicinity,” noting that the US embassy is concealing the losses caused by the missiles.
The source confirmed that a fifth missile landed later in the vicinity of the Green Zone without causing any injuries or damage.
Sirens sounded for fifteen minutes continuously in the US embassy, and were heard in the Jadiriya and Karrada areas in Baghdad.
On Monday, three missiles landed in the vicinity of the US embassy in the Green Zone in central Baghdad, while sirens sounded inside the embassy.
