Four brothers from a martyr’s family in Al-Suwayda excel academically 

Four young brothers from the family of the martyr Brigadier General Sharaf Sami Fayez Al-Mahithawy from the town of Al-Mazraa in the countryside of Al-Suwayda, achieve academic excellence. The martyrdom of their father motivated them to continue his career in giving, and gave them a responsibility to pursue their educational attainment and achieve success and excellence.

The distinctiveness  of the brothers Yarub, Rand, Lynn and Celine was based on the support and encouragement of their mother, the teacher Maysa Al-Salami, who followed and continues to follow up with them to become influential figures in society.

25-year-old Yarub, who is about to graduate from the Faculty of Economics at Tishreen University, confirmed that his father’s martyrdom was a motive for him to pursue his education, strive and assume responsibilities. He indicated that he was doing freelance work in addition to his studies in order to help himself and his sisters to complete their studies while organizing his time well.

The young girl, Rand, who is currently studying in her fifth year at the Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Damascus, noted that she has striven to achieve excellence and to fulfill her parents’ will.

Lynn, a 20-year-old student, who is currently in the preparatory year at the Faculty of Human Medicine , confirmed that she worked hard in her studies to reach the goal she set, believing that if a person has the will, he is able to make success, whatever the circumstances were.

16-year-old Celine said that she is trying to continue the path of success, as she obtained a basic education certificate last year. She also has an ambition to move forward in her educational career.

Their mother, Maysa Al-Salami, noted that she succeeded thanks to the cooperation, sincerity and dedication of her children with her, as their father taught them, in addition to the support of relatives and friends by overcoming an important stage in their lives, which constituted a motivation and a beacon for them to carry the message of the martyr.

Head of the Martyrs’ Banners Association in AL-Suwayda, Lina Abu Hala, stated that the family of the martyr Sami Al-Mahithawi presents an important model of excellence, as his children continued their education and excelled to take their role and serve their country and follow the path of their father.
