Former US intelligence officer: NATO will lose any confrontation with Russia in Ukraine

Washington (ST): Retired US intelligence officer Tony Schafer considered that NATO would lose if it decided to clash with Russia directly in Ukraine, and that there is no way to solve it but negotiations.

Schafer said in a press interview, according to RIA Novosti: “If NATO even thinks of attacking Russia directly, this will prove Russia’s story about its fears that it spoke about previously, its intentions towards it, and its right to defend, and therefore the Russians will fiercely defend their land, and this is certainly a losing situation for the alliance.” It can do nothing but push Ukraine to the path of negotiations.”

He pointed out that many countries support Russia’s point of view in the Ukrainian conflict, and the alliance is often viewed in the world as an aggressor and unleashes wars in different parts of the world.
