Former Slovak Prime Minister: Syria has defeated terrorism and the West must lift coercive economic measures imposed on it

On October 23, Former Slovak Prime Minister Jan Charnogorski stressed that the people and government of Syria have defeated the terrorist organization “Daesh”, calling on the West to lift its unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria.

These measures affect the Syrian people and inflict suffering upon them, Charnogorski said in an interview with Czech parliamentary papers website, reiterating that the West should support the Syrian government if it is keen to restore stability to Syria, prevent the spread of terrorism and solve the problems of the influx of refugees into Europe”.

For his part, Czech military analyst Martin Collier said that the claim of the so-called “international coalition” and its affiliated media that it defeated the terrorist organization “ISIS” is a big lie, stressing that the Syrian Arab Army defeated the terrorist organization with the help of Russia, while the United States, Britain, France and the Turkish regime over the past period have obstructed the efforts of this army against terrorism.

“These countries raised artificial issues such as the use of chemical weapons in cooperation with terrorists and the organization of the White Helmets to accuse the Syrian army and distort its image, while the US forces directly attacked their positions several times and are still present illegally on the Syrian territory”, Collier added.
