Former Lebanese Minister: Syria has achieved victories in its war against terrorism

BEIRUT, (ST)_The former Lebanese Minister Mohammad Fnish has declared that Syria has achieved victories in its war against terrorism and has foiled the US-Zionist plot that targets the region.

He said in a speech he delivered on Sunday: “The conflict today is not only with the Israeli enemy but it is with the totalitarian expansion of the US administration.. The Syrian people are aware of the importance of what they have achieved through defeating terrorism, which poses a threat to Syria and the region.”

Fnish pointed out that the victories achieved by the Palestinian people in confronting the Israeli enemy are qualitative leap in the battle with the enemy.

“We have witnessed a change in world public opinion and we saw popular support for the Palestinian cause because it is a humanitarian cause,” the former Lebanese minister concluded.
