Former European MP: The Syrians Succeeded in Confronting the West’s Aggressive Illusions
MOSCOW- Former European Parliament member and Italian journalist “Jolitto Chiza” has stressed that global terrorism is a weapon at the disposal of world imperialism, pointing out that thanks to their steadfastness over the past three years, the Syrian people have succeeded in confronting the West’s aggressive illusions and schemes which are endangered in case national reconciliation is attained among the Syrians.
Chiza, a former European MP for five successive terms, told SANA correspondent in Moscow that “Westerners have certain illusions about Syria and they have caused great damage to the Syrian people aiming to achieve their aspirations.”
He said that the Western powers think that they have weakened Syria and the Syrian people’s ability to keep steadfast.
“Despite the Syrian people’s resistance, the European and American leaders continue their anti-Syria aggressive policies because they think that the attainment of national reconciliation in Syria will threaten the reputation of their empire.”
The Syrian people defended their homeland, because they have realized the nature of the global conspiracy against them and become aware that the media misleading and hostile campaign against Syria aimed at destroying the country and create a state of endless fighting that only serves Syria’s enemies, according to Chiza.
On the terrorist groups committing crimes in Syria and Iraq, the Italian journalist said “we know well that Saudi Arabia as well as Israel and other forces are organizing terrorism in Syria and the entire region,” pointing out that this is done within the framework of a well-studied plan to overthrow all who oppose the plans set for re-dividing the so-called “Greater Middle East”.
“The Americans are not fighting terrorists neither in Iraq nor in any other place, but they keep claiming this in the media just for propaganda, because they are the ones who created al-Qaeda, prepared the “Jihadists” to fight in Syria and financed all the terrorist organizations operating in the region,” Chiza stressed.
He pointed out that the internal crisis the American regime suffers has led it to justify for itself the right to use terrorism and armed groups in achieving their goals and schemes in the Middle East and the world aiming to create a global chaos. He asserted that the Americans have practically lost the ability to dominate the world, but they monthly produce great amounts of money that help them form terrorist groups and spy on world leaders.
About the current events in Ukraine, Chiza said “it is the first serious confrontation between the West and Russia,” pointing out that the United States is the one who has been inciting and planning for years to create this crisis with the help of the Europeans.
“Ukraine’s events don’t resume the Cold War, They mark the beginning of a hot war, because the Cold War took place when America was politically, economically and militarily strong, but today American is weaker than the world imagines,” he added.
