Palmyra, SANA-Two foreign tourist groups visited the historical city of Palmyra Thursday to get acquainted with its civilization and human heritage and document the sabotage that affected the most prominent edifices in Daesh attacks before expelling it at the hands of Syrian Army.
A British expert at Liverpool Archaeological Museum, told SANA reporter about his great admiration of Palmyra’s civilization and its ancient history, voicing his sorrow and pain after seeing the destruction that its ruins were subjected to by enemies of culture and humanity.
Italian and French tourists expressed their happiness to visit Palmyra which is considered as a charming destination rich in civilizations that are exported to the world, saying they will encourage their friends to visit it.
The tourist groups included British, Italian, German, Austrian, French, Irish, Canadian, Mexican and Spanish nationalities who wanted to document the destruction that afflicted the most prominent archaeological landmarks as a result of the attacks of the terrorist organization of ISIS before been defeated from the region by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.
