Foreign Ministry:Crippling of Issuing UNSC Statements Condemning Terrorism in Syria Can Only Be Interpreted as Support for Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST) –” the obstruction by the US and some European and western countries of issuing Security Council statements that condemn the bloody terrorism claiming dozens of lives of women, children and the elderly in Syria can only be interpreted as practical support for terrorism and terrorists,” the Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in two identical letters sent to the Chairman of the UN Security Council and UN Secretary General.

“the UN Security Council’s failure to condemn the bombing which took place in Daf al-Shouk area two days ago  has encouraged terrorists to continue perpetrating crimes against the Syrian people”,the letters underlined.

” Syria calls on the UNSC member states, the UN Secretary-General and the UN member countries to condemn terrorism whose perpetrators, protectors and financers are seeking to destroy and fragment Syria and eliminate the unity of its people and territories,”the letters concluded.
