The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has welcomed the exemptions and exceptions issued by the US administration concerning the economic sanctions imposed on Syria.
“This progress was achieved as a result of the intensive meetings we recently held, and we thank all the wonderful Syrian cadres who made great efforts in this regard,” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
“We affirm that after the fall of the regime, the economic sanctions have begun to target the Syrian people. Lifting these sanctions completely has become necessary to push the wheel of recovery in Syria forward and to achieve stability and prosperity in the country,” the ministry added.
