Foreign Ministry: US officials’ statements about Syria are unconnected to reality

On May 31st,the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the statements of US officials, shortly after their recent illegal entry into areas in northeastern Syria, as detached from reality

The ministry said in a statement“ Once again, American officials confirm that they have the highest levels of ignorance about what is happening in Syria.”

The ministry added: The statements that are unconnected to  reality made by these officials ignored the fact that the participation of the Syrian people throughout the homeland and outside it in the embassies of the Syrian Arab Republic with full freedom, awareness and belonging to the homeland in voting in the presidential elections is nothing but a form of raising the voice loudly in the face of Western officials who did not like this participation.

The Ministry emphasized that only the Syrians would legitimize the presidential elections, not the statements of some Western officials full of fallacies and lies

The ministry indicated that the statements of the United States are intended only to continue with its allies to cover up the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against the Syrian people.

The Ministry affirmed that the United States’ continued support for terrorism and the use of terrorists and armed separatist militias to achieve their purposes and steal the Syrian wealth of oil and wheat confirms the falsehood of the allegations made by Washington.
