Foreign Ministry: US decision to supply Kiev with cluster bombs immoral

Damascus – Syria has stressed that the US and its allies’ supplying of cluster bombs to Kiev regime, with the aim of escalating killings and destruction, is an immoral issue, a source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Tuesday.

In a statement to SANA, the source said that Syria calls on all countries of the world to work as to halt the reckless policies of the US administration which pose a serious threat to security and peace in all parts of the world.

The source went on to say that the ministry followed up with deep concern the dangerous American plans to provide the Kiev regime with cluster bombs, in violation of international agreements and UN warnings.

The continuous supplying of weapons to Kiev regime by the United States and its western allies is an immoral issue that exposes the hypocrisy policies, confirms the irresponsibility of the US administration and its western allies, prolongs the aggressive war launched by the Western alliance against the Russian Federation and threatens with a disastrous escalation that would undermine the future of humanity.

The source concluded the statement by saying that Syria strongly condemns this US dangerous escalation and calls on countries of the world to put an end to the US administration’s reckless policies which pose a serious threat to international peace and security.
