Foreign Ministry: The terrorist bombing in Damascus will not stop Syria from fighting terrorism

On October 20th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and expatriates confirmed that the terrorist bombing that targeted a military bus in Damascus comes in the context of the continued attempts of terrorist organizations  to raise  morale, especially in Idlib.

The Ministry called on the international community and the Secretary-General of the United Nations to condemn the terrorist bombing and to take deterrent measures against terrorism.

An official source said that the government of Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist act of  blowing up a bus in the downtown of the Syrian capital Damascus with two explosives, which resulted in 14 martyrs and many wounded.

The source confirmed that the implementation of this terrorist bombing in the overcrowded area of the civilians and citizens going to their work comes in the context of the continued attempts of terrorist organizations  to raise morale , especially in Idlib.

The source said the timing of this terrorist work shows the agenda of the political sponsors .

The source said: “When armed  terrorists enlarge their circle through economic penalties and disruption of reconstruction and the return of displaced persons to their homes and prevent the return of normal life to the country they are then showing their true face.

“The Syrian Arab Republic calls on the international community and the Secretary-General of the United Nations to condemn this terrorist bombing targeted by citizens,” the source said.
