Foreign Ministry: The German Foreign Ministry’s statement on receiving the head of the terrorist organization (White Helmets) reaffirms the German government’s involvement in the aggression against Syria

On December 21st, Syria affirmed that the German Foreign Ministry’s statement on receiving the head of the terrorist organization “White Helmets” reaffirms the German government’s involvement in the aggression against Syria and providing support to terrorist organizations and groups attached to it.

An official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement: “ Itseems that distorting facts, overturning perceptions and disinformation campaigns have become basic synonyms for the treacherous war against Syria by enemy states.”

The source added: “What was stated in the German Foreign Ministry’s statement about receiving the head of the terrorist organization “White Helmets” despite the opposition of the German Ministry of the Interior due to this person’s association with extremists reaffirms the German government’s involvement in the aggression against Syria.”

The source added: “The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the misleading statements issued by the German Foreign Ministry and its representatives in international organizations.”

The sources said that securing protection for terrorists constitutes a blatant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions related to combating terrorism and represents a threat to peace and security in the world.

The sources said that the German government must stop attempts to justify its policies regarding terrorism and deception of German public opinion, which suffered  from terrorism and extremism in more than one German city.
