Foreign Ministry: Killing babies in incubators in Gaza hospitals amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity

Damascus – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stressed that the killing of Palestinian babies while they are in incubators, the expulsion of patients from medical clinics in Al-Shifa Hospital and other Palestinian hospitals in Gaza Strip, and displacing them from their lands  amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

In a statement on Thursday, the ministry said that the world no longer needs proof and evidence about the fascist nature of the Zionist entity’s leadership and parties as attacks on Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza and the war crimes perpetrated there, and the flagrant violations of international humanitarian law have uncovered the Zionist entity before the eyes of all peoples of the world.

“The Israeli occupation’s tanks, planes and missiles have not been used with such brutality since World War II, and this war machine led to the destruction of 25 Palestinian hospitals with the storming of the Israeli army – in an unprecedented step in the history of wars- into Al-Shifa Hospital and its killing of patients,” the  Ministry said.

The statement added that the claim made by the Zionist entity and adopted by the American administration regarding the presence of fighters from the Palestinian factions in the hospital has been belied and the Israeli entity’s fabricated narrative before the world public opinion was unveiled.

“Syria strongly supports the Palestinian people and warns against the continuation of the Israeli occupation’s criminal practices against the Palestinians which will turn this world into a jungle and a sea of blood,” the Ministry said.

the ministry added that Syria demands that the Israeli occupation officials and forces should be held accountable for these crimes.
