Foreign Ministry: Israel’s aggression on Damascus, genocide in occupied Palestine proves its criminal nature

Syria has stressed that the Israeli barbaric aggression son one of Damascus neighborhoods in addition to the genocide it has been committing in the occupied Palestinian territories proves its criminal nature.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the racist Israeli entity carried out a heinous aggression today against one of the residential neighborhoods in Damascus which led to the martyrdom and injury of a number of civilians, completely destroyed a residential building and damaged the neighboring buildings.

The ministry added that Syria calls on the international community to immediately move as to stop these crimes and massacres against innocent people and civil property as they undermine security as well as regional and international peace and violate the UN Charter and goals.

The Ministry affirmed that the Israeli aggression on residential buildings and the destruction of the homes of safe civilians over their heads has become a standard Israeli policy that has been explained during the recent sessions of the International Court of Justice, which confirms the extermination policy pursued by the fascist Zionism that is based on denying the existence of peoples and their rights.

This aggression will only increase Syria’s determination to confront these inhumane Zionist plans and the policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing practiced by the Israeli entity in occupied Palestine without regard to international laws and conventions, the ministry went on to say.

“Syria calls on all countries of the world to confront to the genocidal policies practiced by the Israeli entity in the Arab region and urges the Security Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security, holding the Zionist political and military criminals accountable and putting an end to their inhumane and immoral policies,” the ministry concluded.
