Foreign Ministry: Israeli entity’s aggression on the region proves its criminal mentality

Syria has affirmed that the condemned and denounced aggression of the Israeli occupation on brotherly Lebanon and countries of the region reflects the continuity of the bloody and criminal mentality rooted in this entity, which is thirsty to shed more innocent blood, and its disregard for international law, international humanitarian law, and human rights agreements, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported.

“The Israeli aggression on our people in brotherly Lebanon and countries of the region continues, and with it the Israeli war and killing machine continues to expand the circle of its barbaric aggression to pursue the displaced people fleeing its terrorism,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement.

It added that the Israeli war machine hunts the refugees’ crowds at the border crossings, as it targeted Matarba border crossing with Lebanon today, causing many injuries among the displaced people who were present at this crossing, only a few hours after the attack on the Lebanese Younine region, which led to the martyrdom of 23 Syrian refugees, most of them women and children.

“That condemned and denounced aggression reflects the continuity of the bloody and criminal mentality rooted in the Israeli occupation entity, which is thirsty to shed more innocents blood, which has reached the point of targeting displaced persons and refugees seeking a safe haven from the Israeli terrorism, it also confirms once again the occupation entity’s disregard for international law and international law, human rights and human rights accords,” the Ministry concluded.
