Foreign Ministry: EU sheds crocodile tears overlooking that its policy behind surge in terror acts in Syria

DAMASCUS,(ST)_A source at Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said on Tuesday the European Union accepted to be a model of hypocrisy through renouncing the values it advocates.

The source’s remark came a day after the EU released a statement on situation in Syria including lies and allegations.

“Syria denounces the statement released by the European Union’s Foreign Ministers on December, 15,2014, on situation in Syria” the source said, adding that the statement proves the European involvement in the plot that targets Syria and in shedding the Syrian blood. 

It clarified that the lies and allegations mentioned in the EU statement proves that the EU is going ahead with the ‘systematic misinformation’  policy despite the fact that the whole world has realized the reality of the aggression being carried out against Syria by armed terrorist organizations, such as the ISIS [or Daesh] and al-Nusra Front, which are supported by some regional states and international powers.

Model of hypocrisy

“While the European Union sheds crocodile tears over the humanitarian suffering of the Syrian people, it overlooks that its policy of supporting terrorism in Syria and the economic sanctions as well as its attempts to abort efforts to resolve crisis in Syria are the main reasons behind the continuity of the crisis and the surge in terrorist activities that pose threat to the international and regional peace,” the source said.

It indicated that thousands of terrorists, who have come from European states to Syria under the nose of these states’ intelligence services, take part in the terrorist activities.

The source confirmed that EU statement will never dissuade the Syrian people and army, from going ahead with combating the obscurantist takfiri terrorist forces till achieving  victory.

“The European Union’s stance proves that it is unworthy of having a decent position in international arena because it has accepted to be a subordinate to others’ policies and a payer of their bills as well as a model of hypocrisy through renouncing the values it advocates,” the source concluded.
