Foreign Ministry condemns the Israeli officials’ racist statements

Damascus, (ST) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stressed that Syria is not surprised by the repeated racist statements of the officials of the Israeli entity. These statements are a clear expression of the reality of this entity and the extent of its aggressiveness and expansionist ambitions in the countries of the region. They reflect the Israeli entity’s disregard for the most basic rules of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry affirmed its support for the Palestinian people to obtain all their rights, including their independence and the right to establish an independent state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital. Syria also affirms its support for the sovereignty of the brotherly country of Jordan and its territorial integrity and unity.

The minister in the Israeli occupation government, Bezalel Smotrich denied in statements last Sunday the existence of the Palestinian people and presented a map of the entity that includes Palestine and Jordan. This matter was met with widespread Palestinian, Jordanian, Arab and international rejection.
