DAMASCUS,(ST)_ the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates yesterday extended messages the UN Secretary -General , President of the UN Security Council and the High Commissioner for Human Rights and Chairman of the Human Rights Council on the new crime committed by al-Nusra front affiliated terrorist gangs ” and its allies in the ” banner of Islam ” and so-called ” Islamic Front ” on December 11th in Adra city in Rural Damascus , a safe area of local and displaced citizens from various neighboring regions , claiming the lives of more than one hundred martyrs .
The letters explained that during the massacre , the terrorists burned the homes of government employees in the town and executed some of them and dismembered their bodies , detained others in the city ‘s bakery and stole tens of tons of flour and wheat , and abducted a large number of civilians in houses basement and held them as human shields .
The ministry noted several indicators Syrian had warned against before, , including continued mobilization campaigns against Syria by Saudi Arabia and Qatar media outlets, through Wahhabi takfiri fatwas that incite sedition and murder in Syria as well as calls made by , Ayman al-Zawahiri to al Qaeda organizations to go Syria to undermine its stability and drain the Syrian blood by suicide terrorist acts carried out by terrorists from more than 80 world countries .
The ministry warned terrorism incitement practiced by the Saudi regime in contrary to relevant international resolutions and Saudi officials ‘s public statements to support with money and weapons to al-Qaeda and its allies ,train them in Syria ‘s neighboring countries and send them to carry out terrorist operations inside Syria , noting the involvement of the Turkish ruling regime in supporting terrorism by harboring , training and facilitating the transit of terrorists coming from several world countries to carry out their crimes inside Syria.
The Ministry condemned the scandalous duplication practiced by UN-Security Council Permanent members and called on them to refrain from supporting terrorism in Syria , undertake a more active role in the fight against terrorism and ensuring accountability of the armed terrorist groups and countries and entities supporting them in their crimes against the Syrian citizens and their violations of UN Security Council resolutions on combating terrorism .
The ministry also demanded the UN Security Council to abide by its obligations towards the implementation of its binding resolutions which prohibit terrorism and providing any form of support to it.
