Foreign Ministry calls on Syrians abroad to participate in the presidential elections

Damascus, (ST) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on Syrian citizens abroad to participate in the presidential elections tomorrow Thursday, by casting their votes, to affirm their free will, their national affiliation, and to contribute to re-building Syria, whose future must be decided by the Syrians alone.

The ministry said in a statement to SANA that, the participation of citizens abroad in this national duty constitutes the clearest confirmation of upholding the independence of the national decision and thwarting all attempts to impose guardianship over the Syrians. It stressed that a free homeland is built by a free people and Syrians throughout history have been the epitome of dignity and a symbol of freedom and rejection of any form of outside interference in their affairs.

The Ministry called upon Syrian citizens abroad to go the embassies and vote.
