Foreign Ministry: Blinken’s March 6th statement on Syria closer to hallucination than to logic and objectivity

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stated that the press statement, made by the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on March 6th, 2023, is closer to hallucination than to logic and objectivity as it reverses facts and manipulates events.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday “had it not for the financial and military support, provided by Washington and its western allies, the terrorist groups could not have been able to commit massacres against the Syrian people and destroy their infrastructure”.

“Neither the current US State Secretary, nor his predecessors can wash their hands which have been stained by the blood of the Syrians who were killed in Al-Tharda Mount in Deir Ezzor. They can’t remove their crime record, including their crime of destroying Raqqa city and stealing the Syrians’ natural resources, including oil and agricultural crops, whose value is estimated at 30 billion USD which should by paid by the United States to the Syrian people,” the ministry added.

The ministry pointed out that Blinken’s remarks about continuing the US administration’s support for armed groups and militias, prove the US administrations’ involvement in shedding the Syrians’ blood over the past twelve years. Thus, he and the American officials, who allocated unlimited funding to destroy Syria and shed the blood of the Syrians, should be held accountable so that the Syrian people can know that the one who is responsible for killing the Syrians are the US successive administrations and their allies.”

The ministry stressed that “continuous and lasting peace can’t be achieved through the continuation of the US occupation of the Syrian lands and the establishment of illegal military bases on these lands.”

“The empires, which adopt injustice, destruction and arrogance as policies have collapsed, and Syria doesn’t think that the present and the future of these policies will lead to any other result,” the ministry said, concluding the statement by pointing out that Syria is looking forward to witnessing a multi-polar system where all enjoy security, stability and dignity.
