PRAGUE, (ST)-Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek has stressed that the continuous foreign intervention in Syria and the incessant support for terrorist organizations have prolonged the crisis in the country.
In an interview with the Czech TV on Monday Zaoralek criticized what the West calls “moderate opposition” in Syria, noting that he met some members of this alleged opposition on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and their stances were not peaceful.
He pointed out that Russia has tried to calm down the situation in Syria because it knows the danger of such wars.
On his part, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Czech Parliament Karl Schvatsiberg said that the West has committed a grave mistake by interfering in Syria, pointing out that he warned the foreign ministers of the western countries, when he was a foreign minister of the Czech Republic, of the danger of such intervention but they gave a deaf ear.
