Foreign and Expatriates Ministry rejects allegations on use of chemical weapons in Damascus Countryside

DAMASCUS, (ST) –”the cooperation agreement between Syria and the UN Commission on investigating the use of chemical weapons  in some areas in Syria has left the  terrorists and their supporters  unpleased. So they are making fresh accusations of the toxic gas use by the  Armed Forces in  Damascus Countryside, “underscored an official spokesman at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry

“Syria has repeatedly announced that it will never use any weapons of mass destruction against its own people, if such weapons exist, “said the ministry’s spokesman.

The ministry  described  the allegations as baseless and untrue.

“actually, it is not surprise for the Syrian government and people to hear such lies. They(accusations)are an attempt to divert the UN Commission on chemical weapons from carrying out its mission,” underlined the spokesman .
