For the first time, Syria will host the International Informatics Olympiad in Teams in May

For the first time, Syria will host the International Informatics Olympiad in Teams (IIOT) 2024 scheduled to be held next May, according to the Distinction and Creativity Agency.

The Agency announced in a statement on Friday that the Informatics Olympiad in Teams in each country includes several stages that start with conducting programming competitions for the school teams and end with qualifying the teams to the national final qualifiers so that the winning teams represent their countries in the international competition.

16 Syrian school teams qualified for the national final qualifiers, which was held yesterday in the National Center for the Distinguished in Homs, the agency clarified, pointing out that the winning teams will represent Syria in the International Informatics Olympiad in Teams.

The agency noted that the participation in the Olympiad will be available for all countries either in person or online.
