Food Expo to Open Soon in Damascus

 Damascus,(ST) –The 13th session of Food Expo will be held on May 1 at the Dama Rose Hotel, organized by the Delta Group for Economy and Business, with the participation of major food manufacturers specialized in national packaging.

“The aim of the exhibition is to promote the Syrian food industries, especially those that have survived during the years of crisis despite the conditions of the unjust siege on the Syrian people,” said Ghayath Shamma, head of the organizing group for the four-day exhibition.

 He pointed to the quality and originality of the Syrian food industry and its development and competitive price, which reached all countries of the world and achieved widespread and high demand in the domestic and foreign markets.

Mr. Shamma said that the requirements of living and maintaining food security are one of the priorities of the economic action of the government and the private sector through the re-takeoff of food factories and the completion of economic recovery in parallel with the effective marketing activity to restore the activity of the food and agricultural industries and their requirements.
