FM Statement: Syria will continue fighting terrorism, Efforts for Political solution, National Reconciliation

DAMASCUS,(ST) _ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that It is regrettable to hear words from the UN Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon that go against truth and away from objectivity about the humanitarian situation in Syria and the performance of the Syrian delegation to the Geneva conference, pointing out that the UN Secretary-General should rather emphasize the quest to address the root of the Syrian issue by implementing UN security council resolutions against terrorism practiced against Syria, which has been carrying out its duty in protecting its citizens and defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity, by obligating countries supporting these terrorist groups to stop supporting, arming, financing and find a safe haven for them.

In a statement today, the ministry added that Syrian will continue to fight terrorism by all means, and simultaneously to pursue hard efforts to achieve political solution and national reconciliation.
