FM statement: Government of Justice and Development Party Continues its Misleading Campaign against Syria

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the government of Justice and Development Party in Turkey continues its misleading campaign against Syria, including allegations on the use of chemicals.

“The devastating role played by the Turkish government has become evident in embracing, training, arming and facilitating the passage of terrorists into Syria and providing them with chemicals that Turkish judiciary has been investigating, or in buying the Syrian oil stolen by Daesh gangs as well as dismantling and stealing the Syrian factories in order to undermine the country’s infrastructure and the progress made in developmental fields, ” the source added in a statement yesterday.

The source explained that “the Turkish government which falsifies contents of the reports of UN committees which investigate allegations on the use of chlorine gas in Syria, violates international legitimacy resolutions for combating terrorism and, most recently resolution 2170, a matter which undermine UN credibility when talking about commitment to international laws and conventions “.
