FM Spokeswoman Stresses Iran’s Strong Opposition to Possible Attack on Syria

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham underlined that Tehran is against any form of military attack on Syria, and warned the international community of the dire consequences of a possible war on Damascus by the US and its western allies.

 “Militarism and adventurism will have no result in the Middle East and a political solution should be considered for the crisis in Syria,” Afkham told reporters.

The Iranian diplomat described preparing the ground for negotiations among different Syrian parties as a political solution and urged all regional countries to move in that direction.
