FM: French Statement on Kasab an Attempt to Cover up Terrorists Actions

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that as part of its continued reckless and hostile policy towards the Syrian people and state and the disinformation and lies campaign practiced on the French public opinion since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, the French Foreign Ministry issued a statement on 31.3.2014 on the events taking place in Kasab city in which it attempted to cover up acts committed by the Turkish- backed armed terrorist gangs which attacked several areas in Latakia northern countryside including Kasab, where flagrant violations were committed against innocent citizens.

In a statement yesterday, the source added that the French Foreign Ministry continuous coverage of armed terrorist gangs acts in its official statements and falsification of events and facts demonstrates French officials involvement in shedding the blood of the Syrian people through their financial, military, media and political support for the armed terrorist gangs in Syria under different slogans.

“It is surprising that the French government, instead of condemning the crimes committed by the armed terrorist groups in Kasab and its surrounding, at the direct support of the Turkish government, resulted in the loss of life and displacement of innocent people there, including families of the survivors of the massacres of the Turks against the beginning of the last century, France condemned what it called the bombing of Kasab and addressed false accusations to the Syrian government,”the statement underscored.

The statement concluded by regretting the French government continued of looting of the legacy of the French people in honoring the principles of liberty, fraternity, equality besides its ill-respect to the UN Charter, the international law and moral principles for political action and the interests of the Syria and French peoples.
