Five soldiers martyred, 20 others wounded in ISIS attack on military bus in the Syrian Badia area in Homs

Five Syrian Army soldiers were martyred and 20 others were wounded in an attack by ISIS terrorist organization on a military bus in the Syrian Badia area in Homs.

A military source said on Monday that at around 07:00 p.m. on Sunday, ISIS terrorists attacked with rockets a military bus in the Syrian desert area in Homs, causing the martyrdom of five soldiers and the injury of 20 others.

The source added that the rocket attack was followed by 23 mm cannon fire.

Military buses driving a long Deir Ezzor-Palmyra have repeatedly been attacked by ISIS terrorists positioned in Al-Tanf area which is controlled by the US occupation forces that provided all forms of support for terror groups.

Over the past months, media reports said that the US occupation has transferred hundreds of ISIS terrorists both from Iraq and the prisons run by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia in Hasakah to Al-Tanf area with the aim of retraining and rearming them in order to attack Syrian Arab Army personnel as well as key facilities and populated areas in the Syrian Badia.
